SQAA director dr. Franci Demšar was re-elected as president of CEENQA at the General Assembly held on September 24 in Istanbul. The General Assembly was hosted by the Turkish quality assurance agency EPDAD. A workshop on the independence of quality assurance agencies was also held alongside the general assembly on September 23. Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) is a non-governmental non-profit organization that brings together 41 members from 26 different countries, 20 of which are also members of the European Association of Quality Agencies in Higher Education (ENQA). The main goal of its members is development and cooperation in the field of quality assurance with the aim of progressing the entire European higher education area.
