ENQA report: SQAA achieves full compliance with ESG standards

In its report, The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) expert panel, that visited SQAA in March 2023, assessed that SQAA’s performance is fully compliant with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG Standards), while the Agency is demonstrating strong progress in all areas of its work. The Agency sees this positive assessment by ENQA experts as a confirmation of its quality and an encouragement to continue on its chosen path of continuous progress and development.

In the process of the third external audit by ENQA, the Agency has opted for a so-called targeted assessment. The purpose of the targeted external evaluation is to review the Agency’s target areas of performance, in particular the identified partial compliance issues, the significant changes in the Agency’s functioning since the previous assessment and the current challenges in achieving ESG compliance. NAKVIS is therefore achieving full compliance with ESG standards in all quality standards, and the ENQA expert team specifically commended the preparation of the Guide to external assessments, the development of the internal information system, the communication with stakeholders, and the Agency’s website in its report. ENQA’s full report can be found at the link below.

ENQA membership is conditional on an external assesment at least every 5 years to determine compliance with ESG standards, and the ENQA external audit is also the basis for renewal of registration in The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). A formal decision on the renewal of ENQA membership and EQAR registration is expected in the autumn.
