At the meeting of the general assembly which took place on 17th July 2020, the director of SQAA, Dr.Franci Demšar was elected the president of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA). CEENQA is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that brings together 41 members from 22 different countries of which 20 organizations are also members of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). The main objectives of their members are development and cooperation in the field of quality assurance. Their aim is to make progress of the whole European higher education area. In this context, Dr.Demšar will promote further enhancement of CEENQA operations during his mandate.
For this purpose a meeting of CEENQA members will be organized every second month from September onwards. At these meetings individual agencies will have an opportunity to present good practices, thematic analysis, common projects and other relevant topics. In September, SQAA will start the initiative with a presentation of methodology/analysis to determine the independence of the quality assurance agencies and their experience with the delivery of pilot online evaluations. SQAA is a member of this respected community since 2008.
